FOUNDER : Kenneth Ludlow Jones born in longford Ireland studied organbuilding mostly in Holland and worked in West Africa for 16 years . He founded his own company in 1973 and started an organbuilding enterprise based in Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, working with a small number of apprentices; he later transferred to Bray, Co. Wicklow and formed the company of Kenneth Jones Pipe Organs Ltd in 1979, and subsequently increased employment, with training in this very specialised craft. The firms work is found not only in Ireland but all over the United Kingdom, the United States, in the Far East and Australia, in fact on every continent except Antarctica. He gave a new impetus to organ building , richly inventive in organ-case design, layout and mechanism design than any of his generation. Since then, Kenneth Jones instruments have become known and are highly regarded worldwide. Kenneth Jones remains in an advisory, design and consultative role.
DIRECTOR OWNER: Derek Byrne He attained his skills at the long-established organbuilding firm of William Hill, Norman & Beard England. He has gained a wide range of experience acquired over 35 years in all areas of organ building, design, construction, tonal finishing, including designing,making and supply of organ-pipes .He spent twenty years in South Africa where he founded and managed Byrne Organ Builders and SAPOS an organ-pipe manufacturing facility.He has very strong connections with Ireland,his great-grandfather, originally from Carlow, was a cooper in the Guinness brewery in the late 1800s, His grandparents were married in St Audeon’s RC church, High Street, Dublin, and his father immigrated to England in the early 1950s.Managing director since 2006.
